Volunteer with us

The impact of volunteers on the lives of people with disabilities is immeasurable. They provide much-needed support, friendship, and opportunities for participation, making a real difference in their daily lives.

Technology and innovation are making it easier for corporates to contribute to development through volunteering. Volunteering is increasingly seen as a valuable form of economic and social participation. It promotes inclusion by involving individuals in various activities and advocating for important causes.

HKIDB has seen an increase in volunteer participation in various activities. These activities are diverse and include skill-based volunteering, educational material development, and even practical support like painting.

Various ways to volunteer

Direct assistance: creating tactile educational materials, developing digital content for education as well as advocacy

Socialization and companionship: participating in activities like sports and field trips together.

Advocacy and support: volunteers can advocate for the rights of people with disabilities, raise awareness about the challenges they face and help us network with potential employers and with patrons for sale of our products.

Skill development and education: Volunteers can share their skills and knowledge with our beneficiaries, helping them develop new abilities and learn new things. This could include anything from teaching computer skills, yoga, art and craft or dance and music.

Fundraising and event support: fundraising for annual day, picnic, medical support
